Are you afraid to fly? If so, you aren’t alone. Many people have a fear of flying; I was one of them. My name is Jackie Lawrence. Up until about ten years ago I wouldn’t step foot on an airplane. Then my life changed. I moved from California to the east coast. My entire family lives in California, including my precious grandchildren. I had to learn how to overcome my fear of flying if I wanted to see my loved ones with any regularity. Driving across the country a few times a year isn’t reasonable. Asking all of them to fly out to me isn’t reasonable either. Sure they come out for visits as they can, but it makes more sense for me to travel to them. I’m going to share how I have dealt with my fear of flying. I hope you find this to be useful!

As you are getting ready to go on vacation, there is a lot of preparation you need to do. Bags need to be packed, boarding passes need to be printed, and you need to decide on how you're getting to the airport. Parking at the airport can be expensive, and asking a friend may require you to return the favor another day at 3 a.m. so they can catch their early morning flight.

Toronto is a very busy city, so it may not be the best idea to travel by car and you may be better off taking a taxi, especially given that Toronto's parking is even worse than most other large cities. While you could take advantage of the subway lines, sometimes you're in a hurry or you have a lot of luggage in tow.
